Note to self: do not impulse buy when it comes to apartments.
We are officially moved into our new place. We've slept here for 2 nights. There's a hole in our ceiling, a huge roll of linoleum propped up in the living room, several broken floorboards, the front door doesn't close, there's a leak in the porch and the whole place smells like mildew.
Be it ever so humble.....
On the plus side the landlord has promised to fix several of these things. Mostly we just have to deal with the smell. I couldn't possibly spray anymore Febreze around. The place just ends up smelling like an unholy combination of mildew and Febreze. I'm hoping a few nice days with the windows thrown open will go a long way. Am I naive for thinking that? I need to hold onto some hope that nature can take care of this.
I should be able to throw out a few more updates in the following days. There are odd neighbors to talk about.
