The Nanna

I'm thinking about doing something ambitious with my entries. Since the summer has hit full swing I've been doing quite a bit of socializing. I would love to regale you with tales of this socializing but keeping track all the people involved is confusing for everyone. I was considering adding linkage to any names I brought up. The link would take you to a description of only that person and it would possibly contain a picture. Would that be too messy?

I have a big day ahead. In all honesty I'm stalling her on the computer so I can savor my cup of coffee and take a moment of peace. I should be hurriedly getting ready to take my Nanna out on the town.

A whole day with just me and the Nanna is always lots of fun.... and little bits of stress. My Nanna doesn't have much of a verbal filter. She's 82 so the things that pop into her head are quite random and thus she will start talking to a cashier and end up telling her a story that's 20 minutes long. I have to drive like a turtle for the entire day but on the plus side we make up time by utilizing her handicap-parking permit.

Okay, the Nanna just popped into my room to tell me that she doesn't want my little sister to come on this gallivant with us. Harsh Nanna. It's all because the Nanna wants to dine in a pub downtown for lunch and she's unsure my underage sister will be permitted on the premises. She's making a call to find out right now.

This should be fun.
