Driving the pretty machine

I'm currently having a hot flash. I don't know where it came from. I just got out of the shower and now I've broken into a cold sweat. I'm only turning 23 tomorrow, not 53.

As an early birthday present my mom is letting me drive her beautiful, fully loaded Jeep Grand Cherokee to work today. While my little Saturn sits at home my dad is going to (finally) install the CD stereo that Ally gave me for Christmas and give her an oil change. So for one day I get to drive around in a beautiful machine and blast Sarah Harmer on the CD player. Then for the rest of my days I get to drive around in a much more fuel efficient machine and blast Sarah Harmer on a much nicer CD player. It's a win-win situation.

The hot flash has passed. Unfortunately I feel like I need another shower now.

I guess I should freshen up some before work. My mom has given me her credit card so I can go buy birthday sneakers after work. I love my birthday.

What I hear: Ani DiFranco-Both Hands "and in each other's shadow we grew less and less tall/ and eventually our theories couldn't explain it all/ and I'm recording our history now on the bedroom wall/ and when we leave the landlord will come and paint over it all"
