My car is fixed. I have new tires, a new CD player; everything is tuned up and running smoothly. All for the low, low price of $70.
Thankfully we use a garage that's owned by friends of the family. A father/son duo run the place. I've known the son since I was 5 and he was 15. One time at a wedding the son got really drunk and hit on me hardcore. Ever since then he gives me a good deal on my car repairs because I'm fairly certain he's ashamed of himself. The father=no deals. The son=huge deals.
Let's just give a high five to the 19-year-old version of myself that worked a strappy black number at a family wedding.
Now my rundown '97 Saturn is actually running better then my mom's fancy Jeep Grand Cherokee. She borrowed my car this morning because her's just wouldn't start. As a thank you she woke me up with a coffee from Tim Horton's and she put $20 gas in my car.
So all is good in my world. I have a day off, free coffee, a gassed up fully functional car, good music, the sun is shining and the snow is gone. What am I doing in front of the computer anyway? I need to get out and enjoy the day.
